About Arweave
Arweave (AR) is a decentralized storage protocol that enables permanent, immutable data storage for a one-time upfront fee. Unlike cloud storage services that charge recurring fees, Arweave uses an economic model called the endowment — a portion of each storage payment is held in perpetuity, with interest funding future storage costs indefinitely. Arweave uses a consensus mechanism called Proof of Access (SPoRA) that incentivizes miners to store and replicate data. The permaweb — built on Arweave — hosts permanent websites, NFT metadata, historical records, and censorship-resistant content. AR is the native token used to pay for storage and mining rewards.

How to Swap AR
Exchanging Arweave (AR) on SyntheticSwap requires no account creation or identity documents. Open SyntheticSwap, choose AR as your source or target coin, provide your destination wallet address, and review the floating rate displayed. After sending AR from your personal wallet to the deposit address, the swap processes automatically and your chosen asset is delivered directly to your wallet. SyntheticSwap never holds your funds at any point during the process.
How to Store AR
AR is stored in Arweave-native wallets. ArConnect is the most popular browser extension wallet for Arweave. Arweave.app provides a web-based wallet interface. ArDrive (ardrive.io) provides Arweave storage management alongside a built-in wallet. Arweave wallets use unique 43-character base64 addresses — different from Ethereum or Bitcoin.
