SyntheticSwap ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website syntheticswap.io and provides a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange service. This Privacy Policy explains what limited information we collect when you use our service, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
Our core design principle is privacy by default. We have built SyntheticSwap specifically so that we collect as little data as technically possible while still providing a functioning and secure exchange service.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect

SyntheticSwap does not require registration and does not offer user accounts. There is no profile, no username, no password — and therefore no personal data linked to such structures.
3. Information We Process During a Swap
When you initiate a cryptocurrency exchange, the following technical data is processed as a necessary part of the service:
- Wallet addresses — the sending and receiving addresses you provide
- Refund address — if you optionally supply one
- Currency pair and amount — the coins and quantity you choose to swap
- Transaction ID — a unique identifier generated for your swap
This information is passed to our liquidity provider to execute the exchange. It is governed by both this policy and the liquidity provider's own privacy policy. We encourage you to review it.
We do not retain wallet addresses or transaction details beyond the operational period required to complete and verify your swap.
4. Technical Log Data
Like all web servers, our servers may receive and temporarily store standard access logs, which can include IP addresses, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used solely for server security, abuse detection, and debugging purposes.
Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 7 days and are then automatically deleted. We do not cross-reference log data with swap data to profile users.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
SyntheticSwap does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. Our website may use browser local storage solely to remember your language preference (if you select a language other than the default). No third-party services with access to this data are involved.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other cross-site tracking technology.
6. Third-Party Services
To provide the exchange service, we work with the following third party:
- Liquidity provider — our exchange infrastructure provider. Wallet addresses, selected currencies, and amounts are shared with our liquidity provider to process your swap. Their privacy practices are subject to their own privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your swap data with any other third parties for marketing or profiling purposes.
7. Compliance with Laws
SyntheticSwap operates as a non-custodial exchange tool. We may be required to comply with lawful requests from government authorities. In such cases, the only information we could potentially provide is minimal technical log data, as we do not collect identity information.
Users are responsible for complying with the laws of their jurisdiction, including any applicable tax reporting obligations on cryptocurrency transactions.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect our systems and any information processed through them. Our backend uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), rate limiting, and does not store sensitive credential data in plaintext.
