About Cortex
Cortex is a blockchain platform designed to enable on-chain execution of machine learning models within smart contracts. The project built a distributed AI system where AI models (called CortexAI or MRTs) are stored on the blockchain and can be called by smart contracts for inference. This enables AI-enhanced smart contracts that can make decisions based on trained models—without relying on external APIs or centralized AI providers. Cortex uses a novel PoW algorithm (CuckooSolver) that is GPU-friendly and ASIC-resistant. CTXC is the native token used for transaction fees and rewarding AI model contributors.
