About Fei Protocol
Fei Protocol (FEI) was an algorithmic stablecoin launched on Ethereum in April 2021 designed to maintain a $1 peg through incentive mechanisms without fully collateralizing reserves. The protocol introduced innovative concepts including Protocol-Controlled Value (PCV) and Bonding Curves to stabilize the FEI price. However, the protocol encountered significant challenges maintaining the peg during market volatility, leading to a merger with Rari Capital in January 2022. Combined as 'Rari Fei Merge,' the protocol attempted to integrate Rari's lending protocols with FEI's stablecoin mechanisms. The merged entity ceased operations in November 2022 following the Rari hack where 80 million FEI were stolen, making both FEI and Rari tokens defunct. Today FEI remains as a historical token on the blockchain but the protocol is no longer operational. SyntheticSwap allows trading of inactive tokens for informational and exit purposes.

How to Swap FEI
To swap Fei Protocol (FEI) on SyntheticSwap, no account creation, KYC, or registration is required. FEI is a defunct ERC-20 token on Ethereum, compatible with MetaMask, Ledger, and any Web3 wallet. Navigate to SyntheticSwap, select FEI as your source or destination token, enter your receiving wallet address, and confirm the exchange rate. Send FEI to the deposit address shown, and your destination tokens arrive directly to your wallet. SyntheticSwap provides liquidity for historical tokens to facilitate exits. SyntheticSwap is fully non-custodial.
How to Store FEI
Store FEI in MetaMask, Ledger, or any ERC-20 compatible Ethereum wallet. Since Fei Protocol is defunct, FEI tokens have no utility or rewards value.
