About Hop Protocol
Hop Protocol (HOP) is a rollup-to-rollup token bridge specialized for transferring assets between Ethereum L2s (Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, etc.) without waiting for the 7-day challenge period. Hop uses Bonders — liquidity providers who front native assets on the destination chain immediately, while the canonical bridge completes in the background. Users get fast transfers; Bonders earn fees. HOP is the governance token with staking rewards for liquidity providers. Hop pioneered the 'hTokens' model that's been widely referenced in rollup interoperability design.
