About Onyx Protocol
Onyx Protocol (formerly Chain) is a decentralized lending protocol that aims to bring institutional-grade borrowing and lending to DeFi, including the novel feature of undercollateralized loans for creditworthy institutions. The protocol allows verified institutions to borrow without posting full collateral by establishing on-chain credit histories and reputation. XCN is the governance token allowing holders to vote on new credit lines, lending parameters, and protocol governance. Onyx emerged from the ashes of Chain.com's original blockchain network.

How to Swap XCN
To swap Onyx Protocol (XCN) on SyntheticSwap, no account creation or KYC is required. XCN runs on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token, compatible with MetaMask, Ledger, Rainbow, and any Web3 wallet. Navigate to SyntheticSwap, choose XCN as either source or target, enter your wallet address for the destination asset, and send XCN from your personal wallet to the deposit address shown. Swaps typically settle within a few Ethereum block confirmations, and your destination asset lands directly in your specified wallet.
How to Store XCN
Store XCN in MetaMask or any ERC-20 compatible Ethereum wallet. XCN is used for governance participation in the Onyx Protocol ecosystem.
