About Polkadex
Polkadex is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on Substrate that combines the user experience of centralized exchanges (order books, trading bots, high throughput) with the security of DeFi (self-custody, no KYC). The Orderbook DEX uses a centralized matching engine for speed while settlement occurs on-chain — users keep custody of funds in smart contracts and the matching engine cannot steal assets. Polkadex also features AMM liquidity pools that feed into the order book for improved depth. PDEX tokens are used for staking, governance, and paying trading fees. The network won a Polkadot parachain slot to inherit Polkadot's cross-chain capabilities via XCM.
