About Rocket Pool
Rocket Pool (RPL) is the governance and collateral token of Rocket Pool Protocol, the most decentralized liquid staking solution for Ethereum. Unlike Lido which relies on permissioned node operators, Rocket Pool allows anyone to run a node with as little as 8 ETH (plus RPL collateral), creating a truly permissionless validator network. Stakers receive rETH, a liquid staking token that accrues ETH staking rewards. Node operators must hold RPL as insurance collateral (minimum 10% of their ETH bonded). This design aligns node operator incentives and distributes control across thousands of independent operators rather than a small set.

How to Swap RPL
Swapping Rocket Pool (RPL) on SyntheticSwap is quick and requires no account or KYC. Since RPL is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, any Ethereum-compatible wallet works — MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, or Ledger Live. Open SyntheticSwap, select RPL as your source or destination asset, enter your receiving wallet address, and review the floating exchange rate. Once you send RPL to the deposit address provided, the destination asset is delivered directly to your wallet. The process is fully non-custodial — SyntheticSwap never holds your tokens at any point.
How to Store RPL
RPL (ERC-20) is stored in any Ethereum-compatible wallet including MetaMask, Ledger, Trust Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet. Node operators who stake RPL must keep it in the same wallet used for their Rocket Pool node. rETH (the staking receipt) is also an ERC-20 token stored in the same wallets.
