About Saffron Finance
Saffron Finance is a risk tranching protocol on Ethereum that allows DeFi investors to customize their risk-return profile. By depositing into Saffron pools, users choose between senior tranches (lower risk, protected yield) and junior tranches (higher risk, higher potential yield). Junior tranche liquidity absorbs losses first, protecting senior tranche holders. SFI is the governance token with an extremely limited supply of 100,000 tokens — one of the most scarce governance tokens in DeFi. Saffron connects to underlying yield protocols (Compound, Aave) and restructures their yields into tranched risk pools.

How to Swap SFI
Swapping Saffron Finance (SFI) on SyntheticSwap is quick and requires no account or KYC. Since SFI is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, any Ethereum-compatible wallet works — MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, or Ledger Live. Open SyntheticSwap, select SFI as your source or destination asset, enter your receiving wallet address, and review the floating exchange rate. Once you send SFI to the deposit address provided, the destination asset is delivered directly to your wallet. The process is fully non-custodial — SyntheticSwap never holds your tokens at any point.
How to Store SFI
Store SFI in MetaMask or any Ethereum-compatible wallet. Given the tiny supply of 100,000 SFI, secure storage in hardware wallets is strongly recommended.
