About Wormhole
Wormhole (W) is one of the most widely used cross-chain messaging protocols, connecting Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Terra, and 15+ other networks. The protocol uses a network of 19 Guardians — trusted validators that observe and attest to cross-chain messages. When a message is sent, Guardians sign it; when 13 of 19 sign, it's valid. Wormhole suffered the largest bridge hack in history ($325M) in 2022 when a vulnerability was exploited, fully compensated by Jump Crypto. W token launched in 2024 via a massive multi-chain airdrop to protocol users.

How to Swap W
Swapping Wormhole (W) on SyntheticSwap is straightforward and requires no account or KYC verification. W is a multi-chain token available across several blockchains, compatible with MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, and most major Web3 wallets. Open SyntheticSwap, select W as your source or target asset, enter your receiving wallet address, and confirm the floating exchange rate. After sending W to the deposit address, your destination asset is automatically delivered to your wallet once the transaction is confirmed.
How to Store W
W (ERC-20/SPL) is available on Ethereum and Solana. Use MetaMask for Ethereum W, or Phantom for Solana W. Ledger supports W on both chains via respective wallet apps.
