About Amp
Amp is a digital collateral token designed to secure value transfer on the Flexa payments network. When a merchant accepts crypto payment via Flexa, there is a settlement delay while transactions confirm on blockchain. During this window, Amp token is staked as collateral to guarantee the payment — if the transaction fails, the collateral covers the merchant. This enables instant crypto payments at any Flexa-enabled merchant without waiting for blockchain confirmations. AMP holders stake tokens in collateral pools and earn a percentage of Flexa network fees. The ERC-1820 token interface allows AMP to be staked in collateral managers for different payment applications beyond Flexa.
