About Scroll
Scroll (SCR) is a ZK-Rollup for Ethereum focused on EVM equivalence — meaning Ethereum smart contracts and tooling work identically on Scroll without modification. Unlike ZKsync Era's EVM compatibility approach, Scroll's zkEVM matches Ethereum's EVM at the bytecode level. Scroll was built in collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation's Privacy and Scaling Explorations (PSE) team. SCR is the governance token launched in 2024 via an airdrop to early users.
