About Bittensor
Bittensor (TAO) is a decentralized machine learning network that creates a marketplace for artificial intelligence, where AI models compete to provide the best answers and are rewarded with TAO tokens proportional to the value they contribute. Modeled after Bitcoin's supply schedule with a fixed 21 million TAO cap, Bittensor uses a unique consensus called 'Proof of Intelligence' where validators rank AI model outputs, and miners (model providers) earn TAO based on their contribution quality. The network supports multiple specialized subnets, each focused on different AI tasks — text generation, image synthesis, data validation, and more — making Bittensor the first protocol to directly commoditize AI intelligence.

How to store TAO
TAO uses a Substrate-based address format (SS58). The official Bittensor wallet CLI tool manages TAO via command line. Polkadot.js browser extension supports TAO via the Bittensor network. Tensor Wallet and the community-built BTCLI are also used. TAO addresses look similar to Polkadot/Substrate addresses.
