About EigenLayer
EigenLayer (EIGEN) introduces the concept of restaking on Ethereum — allowing ETH stakers to re-use their staked ETH to provide security to additional protocols. Instead of staking separate tokens for each protocol's security, operators can opt-in to EigenLayer and secure multiple Actively Validated Services (AVS) with the same ETH. This creates a shared security marketplace. EIGEN is a 'universal intersubjective work token' designed for tasks where work quality can't be proved on-chain but can be agreed upon by honest observers. EigenDA (data availability layer) is the first major AVS built on EigenLayer.

How to Swap EIGEN
Exchanging EigenLayer (EIGEN) on SyntheticSwap is straightforward and requires no registration or identity verification. EIGEN is an ERC-20 token built on Ethereum, so you can use MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, or any other Ethereum-compatible wallet to send and receive it. Select EIGEN in the SyntheticSwap interface, choose your destination coin, enter a receiving address, and confirm the rate. Your swap processes automatically — the destination token arrives in your wallet once the Ethereum transaction is confirmed.
How to Store EIGEN
EIGEN (ERC-20) is stored in MetaMask, Ledger, or any Ethereum wallet. Restaking operations and EIGEN management are done through EigenLayer's portal.
