About Gram
Gram (GRAM) is the native coin of The Open Network (TON), the blockchain integrated into Telegram. Until June 2026 the coin was called Toncoin (TON); after a community vote it was renamed Gram, the name originally planned for Telegram's 2018 token. The rename changed only the ticker and logo — balances, addresses, staking positions and smart contracts stayed exactly the same, and exchanges converted TON to GRAM one-to-one automatically. There was never a migration, swap or claim process; any site asking you to 'migrate' TON is fraudulent.
GRAM pays for transactions on TON and secures the network through validator staking. The network's main real-world use is inside Telegram: Wallet, Tonkeeper and mini-apps use GRAM and USDT-on-TON for payments, and most of TON's activity is retail transfers between Telegram users.

Receiving GRAM: addresses and memos
TON addresses are 48-character base64 strings (user-friendly form, often starting with UQ or EQ). Self-custody wallets such as Tonkeeper or Telegram Wallet do not need a memo. If your receiving service gives you a memo (comment) together with the address, enter it in the form's memo field — without it, custodial services may not credit the deposit.
