About Hifi Finance
Hifi Finance (formerly Mainframe) is a fixed-rate lending protocol on Ethereum enabling borrowers to take out zero-interest loans using ERC-20 tokens as collateral. The protocol uses a bond-like mechanism: borrowers mint hTokens (zero-coupon bonds) that mature at a future date when they can redeem for face value USDC. The discount between current price and face value represents the implied interest rate. Lenders purchase discounted hTokens expecting full repayment at maturity. Unlike variable-rate DeFi lending, Hifi offers predictable fixed borrowing costs. HIFI tokens govern protocol parameters including which collateral types are accepted and interest rate parameters.

How to Swap HIFI
Exchanging Hifi Finance (HIFI) on SyntheticSwap is straightforward and requires no registration or identity verification. HIFI is an ERC-20 token built on Ethereum, so you can use MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, or any other Ethereum-compatible wallet to send and receive it. Select HIFI in the SyntheticSwap interface, choose your destination coin, enter a receiving address, and confirm the rate. Your swap processes automatically — the destination token arrives in your wallet once the Ethereum transaction is confirmed.
How to Store HIFI
Store HIFI in MetaMask, Ledger, or any ERC-20 compatible Ethereum wallet for secure custody.
