About Interlay
Interlay (INTR) is a trustless Bitcoin bridge protocol for Polkadot, minting iBTC — a 1:1 Bitcoin-backed asset on Polkadot secured by overcollateralized vaults. Unlike centralized wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), iBTC has no central custodian — vault operators lock collateral (DOT, KINT) and can be trustlessly liquidated if they fail to back iBTC. The protocol is formally verified for security. iBTC can be used across Polkadot's DeFi ecosystem including Acala, Parallel Finance, and others. Kintsugi (KINT) is the canary network for Interlay on Kusama.
History
How to Swap INTR
Swapping Interlay (INTR) on SyntheticSwap requires no registration or KYC. INTR is a Polkadot ecosystem token, supported by Polkadot.js extension, Talisman, SubWallet, and Ledger.
