About KlimaDAO
KlimaDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that uses DeFi mechanisms to accelerate climate action. Each KLIMA token is backed by at least one tonne of verified carbon offsets (tokenized through Toucan Protocol's BCT or other standards). The protocol absorbs carbon credits from the market, backing KLIMA's value with real climate impact. Inspired by OlympusDAO's reserve currency model, KlimaDAO aims to increase the price and demand for carbon credits, incentivizing more carbon reduction projects. KLIMA holders can stake for sKLIMA to earn rebase rewards from treasury growth.
