About UNUS SED LEO
UNUS SED LEO (LEO) is the native utility token of Bitfinex, one of the oldest and most established cryptocurrency exchanges. LEO was raised to cover losses from the 2019 Crypto Capital seizure incident where Bitfinex's funds were frozen. LEO provides fee discounts, reduces withdrawal fees, and is redeemed using a portion of Bitfinex and Tether profits. Notably, when the US DOJ recovered the stolen Bitfinex 2016 hack funds ($3.6B in BTC), Bitfinex committed to using recovered funds to buy back LEO.
