About Nym
Nym is a privacy infrastructure project building a mixnet — a network that routes internet traffic through multiple nodes while adding timing obfuscation, making surveillance impossible even for network-level adversaries. Unlike VPNs or Tor (which protect content but not metadata), Nym's mixnet hides who is communicating with whom by mixing encrypted packets from many users and adding random delays. NYM is the token used to pay for mixnet services and reward node operators who provide privacy bandwidth. Applications including crypto wallets, messaging apps, and DeFi protocols can integrate Nym for metadata-level privacy.
