About Storj
Storj (STORJ) is a decentralized cloud storage platform that allows users to rent out unused hard drive space in exchange for STORJ tokens, or store files across a distributed network of storage nodes instead of centralized servers like Amazon S3. Files on Storj are encrypted client-side, split into 80 pieces, and distributed across at least 40 different storage nodes around the world, requiring only 29 pieces to reconstruct the file. This architecture means no single node operator can access your data, and files remain accessible even if most nodes go offline. STORJ is the ERC-20 utility token used for payments between clients and storage node operators.

How to Swap STORJ
Exchanging Storj (STORJ) on SyntheticSwap is straightforward and requires no registration or identity verification. STORJ is an ERC-20 token built on Ethereum, so you can use MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, or any other Ethereum-compatible wallet to send and receive it. Select STORJ in the SyntheticSwap interface, choose your destination coin, enter a receiving address, and confirm the rate. Your swap processes automatically — the destination token arrives in your wallet once the Ethereum transaction is confirmed.
How to Store STORJ
STORJ is an ERC-20 token and can be stored in MetaMask, Ledger hardware wallets, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, or any Ethereum-compatible wallet. Storage node operators receive STORJ payments directly to their configured Ethereum address. Add the STORJ contract to MetaMask if it doesn't appear automatically.
