About Zilliqa
Zilliqa (ZIL) is a high-throughput public blockchain platform that uses native sharding to linearly scale transaction capacity as the network grows. Designed at the National University of Singapore, Zilliqa was the first public blockchain to implement production sharding, achieving thousands of TPS. ZIL uses a hybrid PoW/pBFT consensus: miners perform PoW to join the network and establish identity, then use practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance for fast shard consensus. Zilliqa supports smart contracts via the Scilla language (designed for formal verification) and EVM-compatible contracts. ZIL is the native token for fees, staking, and governance.

How to Swap ZIL
Swapping Zilliqa (ZIL) on SyntheticSwap is simple and requires no registration or KYC. Connect your personal crypto wallet, select ZIL as your source or destination asset, enter your receiving wallet address, and confirm the live exchange rate. Once you send ZIL to the deposit address provided, SyntheticSwap processes the exchange automatically and delivers the destination asset directly to your wallet. No personal information is collected — fully non-custodial from start to finish.
How to Store ZIL
ZIL is stored in Zilliqa-compatible wallets. ZilPay (browser extension) is the most popular Zilliqa wallet for DeFi interaction. Moonlet (mobile wallet) supports ZIL. Atomic Wallet and Ledger hardware wallets (via ZilPay) also support ZIL. Zilliqa uses bech32 address format (zil1...).
