About ZKsync
ZKsync (ZK) is the governance and utility token of ZKsync Era, a ZK-Rollup (Zero-Knowledge Rollup) scaling solution for Ethereum developed by Matter Labs. ZKsync Era was the first EVM-compatible ZK-Rollup to go live on mainnet in 2023. It offers Ethereum-level security with significantly lower fees by batching transactions and submitting validity proofs to L1. ZKsync features native account abstraction (every account is a smart contract by default) and the Elastic Chain scalability concept.
