About Astar Network
Astar Network (ASTR) is a multi-VM smart contract platform and Polkadot parachain that supports both EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and Wasm (WebAssembly) smart contracts. This dual-VM architecture allows developers from both Ethereum (Solidity) and Substrate (Rust/ink!) ecosystems to deploy on Astar. The dApp Staking feature lets users stake ASTR on their favorite dApps, and developers earn staking rewards proportional to the ASTR staked on their project — a unique developer funding mechanism called 'Build2Earn'. Astar also has an Astar zkEVM (using Polygon CDK) as an Ethereum Layer-2.

How to Swap ASTR
Swapping Astar Network (ASTR) on SyntheticSwap requires no registration or KYC. ASTR is a Polkadot ecosystem token, supported by Polkadot.js extension, Talisman, SubWallet, and Ledger. Open SyntheticSwap, select ASTR as your source or destination asset, provide your receiving wallet address, and confirm the floating rate. After sending ASTR to the deposit address, the destination asset is automatically delivered to your wallet once the transaction is confirmed.
How to Store ASTR
ASTR is stored in Astar-compatible wallets. MetaMask can be configured for Astar EVM. Polkadot.js extension works for the Substrate side. Ledger hardware wallets support ASTR. The official Astar Portal allows you to manage ASTR, stake on dApps, and bridge between Ethereum and Astar.
